Physiotherapist

Tan Hai Yang is a Musuloskeletal Physiotherapist with post-grauduate masters qualification from the University of Queensland. He also did his undergraduate at the same university.

Since graduation, Tan Hai Yang has worked in Changi Hospital,. Toa Payoh Hospital, Singapore Sports Medicine Centre and Changi General Hospital. In Changi General Hospital, he was instrumental in setting up the outpatient Physiotherapy and Gym Service, the multi-disciplinary Sports Medicine service and the private Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Clinic specialising in treatment of musculoskeletal conditions.

His clinical interest is in the area of Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapy. In Changi General Hospital, he set up ACL Rehab protocol and the Isokinetic Muscle Assessment for ACL injuries, Back Exercises and Pilates classes for Low Back Pain patients, Manipulative Physiotherapy Service and Rehabilitative Ultrasound Imaging Service. He also lectured and taught at the Physiotherapy school in Nanyang Polytechnic for many years in the areas of Musculoskeletal / Spine Physiotherapy and Ergonomics. He conducted and supervised several research projects in the areas of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy which were orally / poster presented and won prizes in research competitions.
