Dr Ben Tan graduated in 1991 with a Medical Degree and obtained his Masters in Sports Medicine in 1997 from the world-renowned Australian Institute of Sport. Formerly from the Sports Medicine & Research Centre of the Singapore Sports Council, he is presently the Head and Senior Consultant Sports Physician at Changi Sports Medicine Centre, Changi General Hospital. Concurrently, he is the Medical Director for Singapore Sports Medicine Centre.
Dr Tan served as Team Physician for the Singapore Contingents to the 1998 and 2002 Asian Games, and the 1999 and 2001 SEA Games. Dr Tan is a member of the Sports Medicine Subspecialty Training Committee, Specialist Accreditation Board. He is also the Vice-Chairman of the Medical Commission of the International Sailing Federation, Past President of the Sports Medicine Association of Singapore, and Council Member of the Singapore Association for the Study of Obesity.
His original research were published in international peer-reviewed professional journals and presented at international conferences. Dr Tan is also the author of the books, “Fight the Fat – What You Must Know and Do to Lose Weight” and “The Complete Introduction to Laser Racing.” Apart from sports injuries, Dr Tan's areas of interests also include musculoskeletal sonography, extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT), gait analysis, performance enhancement and weight management.
Dr Tan also contributes as the Sports Patron of the Singapore Disability Sports Council, Member of the Singapore Sports Council, Member of the Singapore National Olympic Committee, Chairman of the Athletes’ Commission, Chairman of the High Performance Sailing Committee, Council Member of the Football Association of Singapore, and Advisor to the Singapore Ice Skating Association.
An Asian Games and four-time SEA Games Gold medallist in sailing, and also a three-time Sportsman of the Year, Dr Tan retired from competitive sailing in 1996 and took up marathon running recreationally in 2002. He has since completed more than 10 marathons, including the Berlin Marathon, and has a personal best time of 2 hours 56 minutes.

Dr Kelvin Chew is a graduate of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He earned a Masters in Sports Medicine and Exercise Science from the University of New South Wales in Australia. Since then, he had gone on to complete his sports medicine fellowship at the Stanford University Medical Centre in the United States.
Dr Chew was previously Director of the Sports Medicine Centre at Alexandra Hospital and was appointed a Clinical Teacher at the National University of Singapore. He has a keen interest in medical research and has published widely in various peer-reviewed medical journals.
Dr Chew’s passion for sports in Singapore extends to his involvement in major sporting events and teams. He served as Team Physician for several S-League teams, as well as the Singapore national rugby team. He also served as Medical Director for events such as the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon, Singapore Rugby Sevens, and JP Morgan Corporate Challenge.
Dr Chew sits in the Executive Committee for Special Olympics Singapore and currently holds the appointment of Chairman of the Healthy Athletes Programmer.
Dr Kelvin Chew was appointed the Deputy Chief Medical Officer for the 2008 FORMULA 1™ SingTel Singapore Grand Prix. His role encompassed planning for medical contingencies and leading the team to oversee the medical needs of the event.

Dr Roger Tian graduated in 1996 from the National University of Singapore. After obtaining his post-graduate qualifications and training in surgery, he subsequently trained and obtained his Masters of Sports Medicine from the University of New South Wales in 2007. He is also the first sports physician in Singapore to complete the local advanced subspecialty training programme in Sports Medicine.
Dr Tian has been working at the Changi Sports Medicine Centre (CSMC) in Changi General Hospital (CGH) since 2005. Besides injury prevention and treatment, his interests include performance optimisation through sports science and nutrition, and the role of regular physical activity in reducing lifestyle disease. He has also participated in the care of the country's elite athletes while working at the Sports Medicine Research Centre of the Singapore Sports Council. He has also contributed his expertise as a committee member of the Sports Medicine Association of Singapore and as a resource panel member of the MCYS Sports Safety Committee. He currently seats on the Ministry of Education’s Healthy Youth Committee, CGH’s Continuing Medical Education Committee, and the Human Research Ethics Committee of the Singapore Sports Institute. He has published his research in multiple peer reviewed journals, and is currently a member on the advisory panel of several local publications.
Dr Tian served as Medical Director for the OSIM International Triathlon in 2007 & 2008, and has also provided medical cover for sports such as S-League/national team matches, triathlons, netball, HSBC Wakeboard World Cup, and the Aviva Singapore Open Badminton Championships. During his university days, he competed in canoeing and canoe-polo, and was also a canoeing instructor with the People's Association. He was also active in various sports including badminton, tennis, volleyball, sailing, trekking, yoga and pilates. His current sports interests include distance running and multi-disciplinary endurance events.
